NOMAD SPORTFISHING : Flyfishing Trips
Coral Sea Flyfishing 2007

Flyfishing for the range of saltwater species we have available is one of the most challenging forms of fishing on the planet. Catching a dogtooth tuna, Giant Trevally or a wahoo on a flyrod places you amongst an elite few anglers who have ever captured these species on fly, and the Coral Sea provides about the best opportunity possible to get connected to these species on fly. As well as the ultimate in flyfishing targets we offer the following flyfishing options at our various locations:-

* Between January-April at Fraser Island you can expect days with shots at 20-30 black marlin in the 60lb-150lb class.
* Fraser Island also has the opportunity to sight fish the flats, from a boat or wading, for golden trevally in the 12-25lb class.
* The Coral Sea provides opportunities to catch dogtooth tuna, wahoo, yellowfin tuna, sailfish, GTs, red bass, marlin, green jobfish, bluefin trevally and many other species. There are a number of different trip options available for Coral Sea flyfishing trips, but Wreck Reef provides one of the best locations on earth to target Wahoo on the flyrod.
* Bugatti Reef offers exceptional opportunties to target GTs and spanish mackerel on fly due to the structure of the reef and the congregations of baitfish in this location. Fishing this reef is done by deep retrieval of flies around baitschools. GTs and spanish mackerel range commonly from 40lb-80lbs.

Email us for more information on any of our flyfishing trips.
